Doisy Daene 1953
From a Barsac estate that produces top-class, sweet Bordeaux whites that are characterized by their finesse and richness. The property was extended in the 1950s, with the purchase of a parcel of vines that came from what is now Château Doisy-Dubroca, giving Daëne a total of 15 hectares of vineyards planted with 70% Sémillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc and 10% Muscadelle. These are Barsacs with an emphasis on poise and elegance, rather than power and force. This 50-year-old bottle is something special indeed and would make an impressive gift for a special (and sweet) birthday girl or boy.
