Laurence Blanc 2016 (RP90)
This small property is located halfway between Bordeaux and Libourne in Montussan. It is co-owned by Hubert de Bou瓣rd and Philippe Nunes, Hubert's right-hand man, who works with him on both the family's properties and all of those for which Hubert is the consultant. This 0.40-hectare section of the vineyard is planted in clay and limestone soils that enjoy a southwest exposure and is planted 100% with Sauvignon Blanc. Aging took place in 100% new French oak for ten months. The Laurence 2016 Blanc features honeysuckle and orange blossom scents with a core of lemon tart and white peaches. Medium-bodied, clean and crisp, with electric intensity, it delivers a good, long minerally finish. Production is tiny?ust five barrels were made.
